iPhone 14

Big changes are coming to the iphone 14 but they might not be the changes you were hoping for as the design of the iphone 14 has now been finalized we now have a really good idea of exactly what is coming this fall and uh some of you.are not going to be happy let's break down all of the biggest changes coming.to the iphone 14 i've got new leaks and rumors on the 14 on the 15 and some.other apple products launching this fall and also i gotta tell you why samsung might have been right all along i know it sounds crazy but let me explain there has been a lot of hubbub in the apple community recently regarding the leaks and rumors on new macs the new redesigned macbook air imac pro mac pro lots of fun and mac news to get excited about but sort of behind the scenes just like clockwork every year slowly but surely the latest iphone continues to get worked on and the design is finalized and this year with the iphone 14 we now have a good look of exactly what that design is going to be as more.and more parts of that phone just continue to leak of course by now you've probably heard all about the big stuff we're going to get that radical redesign that is very reminiscent to the iphone 4. we're going to get a main camera bump all the way up to 48 megapixels that should be great for new photos and videos the a16 bionic processor may be abnew material change maybe some new colors lots of great stuff coming to the iphone 14 but last and certainly not least the biggest rumor of all is the change to the notch with apple rumored to be nixing the notch on the pro models.and going with this shaped hole punch cutout that is going to be radically different and give us a design on the iphone we've never seen.before we have now heard from multiple credible sources that yes on the iphone 14 pro models apple is ditching the notch and going with this new hole punch uh sort of pill-shaped cutout that still allows for face id to sort of work its magic do its thing and work safely and

securely um but is going to sort of take up less real estate on the screen then the notch we have right now with the 13 and what we've basically had for a number of years on the iphone since again the 10. but in all the renders and concept shots it always sort of looked like the system was going to be very small it was going to give you actually a lot more screen real estate back it was going to be a big design change and obviously a big departure from the notch design but it was going to be a step in the right direction for sure but now i'm not so sure about that because according to some leaked cad files that have now been confirmed by john prosser over from pagetech it looks like that little hole punch pill shape cutout is gonna be quite a bit bigger than we originally thought john prosser has a pretty good illustration of exactly how the design is going to differ from what we originally thought and yeah this is what it looks like it's going to be we had just heard rumors that apple was supposedly finalizing the design of the iphone 14 model so this looks like the direction apple is going to go and if these cad files are correct yeah this cutout is going to be quite a bit bigger than we originally thought it would be and

obviously when it comes to this look some people are very split with a couple of differing opinions some people love it some people hate it some people are apathetic and some people despise it so much they're ditching their iphone for a samsung device which might be a little bit extreme but uh i'm curious what are your thoughts on this new design not just the design of this new sort of cutout system but also the size that we're not going to get maybe as much screen real estate as we thought back with this new cutout though we are still.regaining some what are your thoughts do you like it do you hate it let me know your thoughts in the comments down below because i know many of you guys have some very strong opinions including many of you guys who i've seen comments on who really didn't mind the notch that the security and the benefits. of the face id system sort of outweighed whatever the negatives came with that look and i mean you sort of get used to it after a while at least that's certainly been my experience and i'm sure the experience of many of you guys out there watching this video and this also sort of raises an interesting question as well i want to pose to you guys is would you give up the security and functionality of face id as we know today for a smaller hole punch on the display for example many android devices including samsung phones have just little selfie cameras there as a little cutout on the display they obviously do not have the truedepth. system and the same functionality and capability of face id on those phones but in return for sort of giving up a little safety security and privacy you're getting a much smaller cutout on your phone so what would you rather have the cutout we are going to see on the iphone 14 pro that still gives you the full power of face id and security or would you rather have a bit of a

you know significantly shrinked notch or a little cutout on the display if it meant a little less security but that is not where the notch news ends not even close because i've got some other news related to the notch that's going to be either good news or bad news depending on the iphone 15 model you are considering picking up now to give everybody a bit of a refresher here uh there is little we really know about the iphone 15 as of right now because we're still over a year away from this phone launching but we have heard from apple analyst ming chi renowned analyst ming chiqo by the way is that apple was working to remove the notch on at least one model of the iphone 15 that maybe the pro max maybe both the pro and pro max or the 15 would have no notch no cutout no obstruction on the display at all it's basically like the dream iphone finally come true but that rumor has sort of been out rumored by another analyst this is display analyst ross young who according to apple track has a one hundred percent accuracy though he has less rumors and.ming chi quote still he's got a good track record that speaks for itself and according to ross young apple is instead of giving us a notchless whole punchless iphone is actually going to bring this pill-shaped hole punch cut out from the No 14 pro series

to every iphone 15 model so the 15 15 max 15 pro and 15 pro max i mean that's a mouthful they will all have the same hole punch pill shape design and it seems like the notches iphone is not going to happen until maybe iphone 16 at the earliest we really don't know as of right now also speaking of iphone 15 we're just about on the cusp of the 10th anniversary of the lightning ports introduction hey happy birthday lightning this was introduced back with the iphone 5 it replaced the 30 pin dock connector and.uh some people have a very love hate relationship with the lightning. Ni connector it was great you know it was sort of a bumpy transition but it's been overall a good connector uh but now as it stands right now usbc has really. overtaken the market and there's just a big question of what is apple going to do are we going to see a change one way or the other with iphone 15 what could apple possibly do well there's basically three different options one is that the lightning connector sticks around for an even longer period of time we know it's going to be on the iphone 14 so i wouldn't be surprised if it sticks around with the iphone 15 next year or apple could give us the portless iphone we've heard rumors that apple is working to give us at least one portless. model of the iphone in the next couple of years maybe the 15 is the introduction of the no port iphone or if you want to dream for a minute maybe apple switches from lightning to usbc that has sort of become the de facto in the industry many apple products like the ipads or at least most ipads uh make use of the usbc connector and it's just a much more versatile uh standard in the industry that would be nice for apple to adopt in some other sort of late breaking apple news we've got to talk about i've got some big info here with the apple watch series 8 and i'm here to say that big changes are coming this year to the apple watch now stop me if you already heard this before but according to mark german over at bloomberg there are going to be some big changes coming to the apple watch series age specifically in the area of fitness tracking now there's really little we know about the apple watch series 8.right now besides that info for mark german and probably you know the basics probably a newer faster chip maybe brighter screen maybe a bigger battery inside those would all be really great to see obviously i am still holding out hope that maybe one day we finally see.the radical redesign that was rumored with the series seven but if last year was anything to go off of that's probably not going to happen as much as i wish it would and um that's probably going to be the story with the series eight though mark german does say that this is supposed to be the biggest year for the apple watch since the original model so there is a lot to get excited about with the apple watch and maybe we don't know the whole story we do know a couple other notes here on the apple watch that are worth obviously pointing out and mentioning to you guys one is that the apple watch sc is getting an upgrade so hopefully we see the apple watch sc2 this year debut the apple watch series 3 is finally finally retiring. so hopefully that will no longer be sold on store shelves because it is not a lot of value for the price these days and also apple is rumored to be launching an extreme sports version of the apple watch we've heard rumors of this rugged edition apple watch one really meant for extreme sports enthusiasts not really exactly sure what that means but we might be getting a new edition of the apple watch launching alongside the other series 8 models later this fall and finally let's talk foldable we do have some new info that suggested apple is still hard at work on a folding iphone they have gone through multiple stages of prototyping and development and they're working on a foldable iphone though it's probably going to come later than sooner we thought maybe it could come as early as 2023 2024 ish but now that looks more.like 20 25 20 26 ish it seems like it's still a few years away and recent reports have indicated that apple is sort of sitting back they're letting samsung and other manufacturers sort of go through the trial and error and sort of get the kinks worked out with their folding phones and then apple will enter the market when they deem it is the right time to do so for them and we also have reports that apple is working on a new folding device maybe it's a folding macbook pro a folding ipad pro or a combination hybrid of the two all we know right now is that apple is working on a 20 inch display that folds that could be sort of a hybrid of the macbook.pro and the ipad pro obviously very little is known about this device right now it's still in the early stages and still years away from being released but if these concepts or anything to look at.there is a lot to get excited about here and it looks like apple is definitely concentrating on the foldable landscape but maybe they're taking things a step further than just foldable iphones maybe doing
something more special with a new device all right so as always i want to know your thoughts what are your thoughts on the iphone 14 lineup as it stands right now what are your thoughts on the redesign what are your thoughts on that notch and on the iphone 15 are you disappointed that we're not going to see a notchless iphone 15 pro rumor has it or do you think it makes more sense to apple uh to sort of uh stick with a new notch design for the next couple years then change over to something else.let me know your thoughts on all that and all the news we talked about in this video down below as always thank you guys so much for watching the apple circle i sincerely appreciate it thank you so much i'm robert rosenfeld and i'll see you all in the next one
